Lantern Bar and Restaurants based in Cornwall offer their own range of bespoke gins, with flavours of Juniper, Honey and Blackcurrant.

I was asked to create the packaging for these new artisan premium gins for Lantern. 
 

The millennial customer base care about climate change, sustainability and reducing their carbon footprint, they want to know the story behind the brand and unique ingredients used, that is what they want to buy into.

 

The bottles are recycled cube flint glass. I took inspiration from Bruichladdich distillery (Islay) who have reduced their carbon footprint by 70%, doing away with plastic and tube packaging opting for a pulp sustainable wrap by James Crooper.

 

I made my own unique recycled papers infused by locally sourced botanicals and gold and silver leaf, which I wrapped the recycled bottles in, before applying the printed labels.

 

With both the hand drawn etchings and crafted typography combined with tactile finishes that look and feel premium, the message is one of a hand-crafted premium luxury gin.
